High-resolution OCT
The Xephilio OCT-A1 offers exceptional image quality. The optical resolution of 3 microns (1.6 μm in digital) enables excellent differentiation of individual retinal structures and layers.
A complete examination in just 3 clicks
Examinations with the Xephilio OCT-A1 are extremely simple and therefore easy to delegate. Only 3 mouse clicks are needed to obtain scans. A comprehensive range of intelligent functions enables fully automated examinations. In addition, the automatic re-scan function intervenes if the patient makes unwanted eye movements, and automatically compensates for motion artifacts.
Automated anterior segment tracking
After clicking with the mouse at approximately the center of the pupil, the OCT-A1's automated anterior tracking takes over and automatically detects and maintains the exact center, even when the patient makes eye movements or blinks.
Automatic image optimization
A second mouse-click starts the scan and the unit automatically optimizes focus and coherence gate to achieve the best possible signal quality and examination results. After confirmation of the preview scan images, the third click launches the actual acquisition, which takes just a few seconds.
Real-time retinal tracking
The OCT-A1 is equipped with a laser scanning ophthalmoscope. This SLO system enables real-time retinal tracking. By detecting and compensating for movement, the impact of small involuntary movements that could cause motion artifacts is considerably reduced, and image quality is greatly improved.
High image resolution
With the Xephilio OCT-A1, up to 200 scans can be averaged to obtain an image resolution that enables detailed viewing of the vitreous's layered and wrinkled structure. The device combines high image resolution with a particularly wide scan width of up to 13 mm!
Enhanced depth visualization
For optimum imaging, the system offers special scan modes for vitreous and choroidal imaging.
Reliable recognition of 10 layers
Canon's Xephilio OCT-A1 can automatically detect and distinguish 10 retinal layers, including Bruch's membrane (BM).
Anterior segment imaging
With the optional ASA-1 anterior segment adapter, the 3-micron resolution of the Xephilio OCT-A1 also enables you to image the anterior segment of the eye at high resolution. Anterior scans can be 6 or 9 mm wide.
